Myrrys – Jenni Tieahos naturskulpturer

The exhibition opening, which is open to everyone, will be held at the Keuruu Museum on November 14, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. You are warmly welcome to attend!

On Saturday, November 15, when the exhibition opens, Jenni Tieaho will be at the museum to present the exhibition from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Jenni Tieaho began her career in 1997. She specializes in sculptures, installations, and environmental art, focusing on natural materials such as willow, birch bark, and various plant parts.

"My work is based on Finnish mythology and mythical forest folklore. For me, nature is like a second citizenship and language. In nature, it is possible to form a concept of time, boundaries, good and evil."

In addition to numerous solo exhibitions, Jenni Tieaho has participated in many group exhibitions. Her works are included in the art collections of the Finnish state, the City of Helsinki, the City of Oulu, the Espoo Museum of Modern Art, and the Saastamoinen Foundation, among others.

Tieaho is currently working on new works for a three-part environmental art exhibition series to be presented at three different public venues in the heart of Helsinki. The exhibition project will be carried out in collaboration with the Finnish Museum of Natural History between 2026 and 2028.

Please note: Keuruu Museum is undergoing renovation, and Myrrys is the last exhibition to be held in the current museum premises in Kamana. After the exhibition ends on January 31, 2026, the Keuruu Museum will close until further notice. We will announce the changes in early 2026 on our website, social media, and the Museum Card website.
