Free admission on International Museum Day

We are celebrating International Museum Day on May 18th by offering free admission to the Oulu Art Museum.
There are two exhibitions on display:
Imagine Abstract
The exhibition from the collections of the Oulu Art Museum encourages the public to approach abstract art and its elements with a curious imagination and explore the dimensions of non-figurative art in a functional and interactive way.
Kirjo
Kirjo (“Spectrum”) is an exhibition that resembles a colourful piece of embroidery where contemporary art, handicrafts and duodji (Sámi handicrafts and creative expression) intersect. On display are works by artists from the Nordic countries and Sápmi, created using a variety of techniques.
The guided exhibition tour in Finnish at 2 pm will introduce you to Imagine Abstract exhibition.
