A new exciting museum of visual arts opens in Lahti during spring 2022.
Malva is a amazingly experimental museum full of art, design, posters and culture in the center of Lahti
Spreading across four floors, Malva's exhibitions offer visitors a diverse and inspiring art experience. Featured on the fifth floor is our permanent exhibition Roots ― Treasures from the Collections, which showcases a diverse range of Malvas's art collections. Changing several times a year, the temporary exhibitions feature a curated selction of art, design and posters.
Lahti City Museums is the Museum of the Year 2025!
Lahti City Museums received the Museum of the Year 2025 award in Pori on May 22, 2025. The award was presented by the Finnish National Committee of the International Council of Museums (ICOM) and the Finnish Museums Association.
The diverse family of museums in Lahti consists of four different museums: Ski Museum, Lahti Historical Museum, Lahti Museum of Visual Arts Malva, and Radio and TV Museum Mastola.

Guided tours
Public guided tours are included in the ticket price. The duration of the tour is about 1 hour. Tours in English between 7.6.-30.8.2025 sat at 12 noon.
