The museum of war and reconstruction

Salla museum of war and reconstruction is located in the old residences of the railway workers. Museum’s permanent exhibition tells about Kuoloyarvi at the beginning of the 20th century before the wars, the restless wartimes, and the enormous reconstruction work after the war, where the municipality of Salla, tested by the war, struggled to rise once again. Museum has temporary exhibitions every year.

Next to the museum there is Rajakievari tavern, which is a place for many short-term exhibitions and events. Behind Rajakievari starts museum's outdoor exhibition area. From the museum building you find also museum shop and café which offer local products.
