Proud maritime traditions of the Nauvo Island, right along the iconic travel route, archipelago ring road.
The Turku archipelago was the center of the country's maritime commerce in the mid-19th century. Virtually everyone from crofters to shareholders were involved in the booming maritime economy. Shipbuilding and ship ownership was especially high in Nagu parish during the 19th century.
