Take a children’s guided tour
A guided tour for children is all about reflecting on and discussing art. Each guided tour can accommodate 20 participants. The tour lasts for approximately 45 minutes. Children can only attend if accompanied by an adult (max. three children per adult). Register for the tour at the ticket office. The tour starts in the museum’s light court.

Explore art by creating it yourself: an art workshop in the workshop space
Surface Rhythms – Drawing by Rubbing (Frottage)

Come and draw rhythmic patterns using the easy frottage technique! Here’s how it works: First, place a sheet of paper on top of a chosen surface. Then, rub over the paper with a pencil or crayon, and the texture will appear on the page.

By combining different surfaces and patterns, you can create lively compositions and strange, imaginative creatures!

Come and try your hand at creating art yourself! Children under the age of 10 are welcome to attend if accompanied by an adult. New participants can be accommodated whenever space becomes available.

To children from children: Tempo concerts in the main stairwell.
Jokiniemi school’s Tempo choir and Tempo orchestra, comprising children studying music as an optional subject. The concerts last for approximately 15 minutes. Tempo music activities offer a free, accessible hobby for children as part of their school day at their own school, as well as an opportunity to perform at a wide range of events.

Get to know musical instruments: Dino’s orchestra workshop in the Ateneum Hall
The mascot of the Tempo activities is Dino Stradisaurus, who invites all children interested in music to get acquainted with various string instruments and play in an ensemble in Dino’s orchestra workshop! The workshop is intended for children aged 5 to 15, and they participate accompanied by their own adult.
