Art exhibition opening event: Listening to the Earth Beyond Silence

Opening event of the group exhibition Listening to the Earth Beyond Silence will take place on friday 9th of May at 5pm to 8pm at the exhibition space Vintti of the Kunsthalle Seinäjoki. You are warmly welcome! The event is free for everyone.

The exhibition is curated by The Resurrection Committee collective. Members of the collective are Adelina Luft, Ovidiu Tichindeleanu and Raluca Voinea. The exhibition presents a variety of art communities, artists’ associations and projects that explore and promote the intergenerational and trans-geographical heritage and history of land cultivation, farming, caring and nurturing through art.

The artists in the exhibition are Jaana Kokko, Anang Saptoto, Valiana Aguilar and Weaving Realities.

PROGRAMME

17-20 Kunsthalle Seinäjoki exhibition opening: Listening to the Earth Beyond Silence

17.00 A Postcard to Earth, Vintti, 3rd floor. Participate in the creation of a collective artwork! Create your own postcard on the theme of the edible treats of the land. The workshop is open to all.

17.30-18.00 Spring planting. Outside Kalevan Navetta, planting boxes will grow corn, squash, beans and peas during the summer!

17.30-19.00 Siemensydän workshop, Itikka, 2nd floor. Make yourself a souvenir from the exhibition or a gift for your mother for Mother’s Day at the non-stop workshop! Making papermash hearts to grow flowers at home.

18.00 Artist interviews, exhibition space Vintti, 3rd floor. Laura Laukkanen, Art Curator at Kunsthalle Seinäjoki, will interview the working group of the exhibition.

16-21:30 at Äärellä Bistro (1st floor)
