Good Shades

Good Shades -quilting exhibition is open on Fridays and Saturdays from 12-2 p.m. from 27 June to 2 August 2025.

Quilt artists Soile Kivinen from Töölö Tilkkupaja and Tiina Saaristo /Tilkunviilaaja®, are organizing a colorful and inspiring quilting exhibition together.
The Good Tones exhibition features large, modern quilts with nuanced quilting on the surface. The quilts are spectacular, surprising and interesting, and they are worth seeing with your own eyes.

Soile Kivinen is a financial professional who devoted herself to quilting full-time just under twenty years ago. Today, she is one of the few professionals in the field and has quilted over a thousand large quilts for other quilters with his special machine in her company at Töölö Tilkkupaja. The Långarm machine performs the quilting under computer control, and using it requires versatile skills that Soile has acquired through several courses in the United States.
Soile loves not only quilting, but also sewing her own quilts. She favors clear, graphic patterns and utilizes her natural eye for color. The results are spectacular – and usually larger than originally intended!

Tiina Saaristo is a content marketing professional by day. In her free time, she is a Tilkunviilaaja®, a social media influencer, quilt artist and pattern designer. Her popular quilt patterns, suitable for many skill levels, have already been sold in 19 countries.
Tiina is a masterful user of color: colors and patterned fabrics play a major role in her quilts, which are also graphic and spectacular. She was the first customer of Tölö Tilkkupaja quilting service and still quilts all her large quilts there.
Soile and Tiina’s joint exhibition in Helsinki last summer attracted many visitors, who described their experience as follows:

They are excited to bring their art to Härkälä in the summer 2025. One of them will be there on Fridays.
