Queer Lines DRAWING <3 POETRY Workshop

The Queer* Drawing -group invites everyone to a drawing and poetry workshop, which is based on the activities of an art group aimed at sexual and gender minorities. The group has been meeting together for over a year at KUMMA to meet and draw.

In the workshop, a large, movement-based drawing will be created together, in which everyone can participate. The core of this workshop is interaction: active listening and an accepting gaze, as well as giving space and concentrating on working together. In addition to the shared drawing, the workshop will also feature drawings previously made by the group, writing poetry in the guestbook based on the tasks and queer poetry from different eras read by an actress Sari Harju. The collection will also include poems from the local Jupinaa – Queer Stage Poetry group. Also, glitter face painting will be available in the workshop!!

We invite all visitors of Kuopio Pride and KUMMA to leave their mark on the shared drawing, and to listen, write, and relax together before the Kuopio Pride parade (at 14.00) and park party. You can stay for a moment or the entire time in the workshop, as you wish. You can participate in the event with the KUMMA entrence fee of 10/5€, free for those under 18, and the Museum Card is accepted as a payment method.

The workshop is especially aimed at young people and adults.
The completed work and event will be documented.
