PianoEspoo | Pulses Across the Museum

PianoEspoo once again spreads throughout EMMA – this time with the energy of a piano duo, synthesizers, a toy piano, and the fearless musicians of Avanti! During this day of contemporary music, audiences will hear works by Enno Poppe, Bernhard Lang, and John Cage, among others. The evening culminates in a performance of Brigitta Muntendorf’s monumental Trilogie für zwei Flügel. In addition to the musicians, sound will also be produced by Yamaha’s self-playing Disklavier, featured in the installation Imaginary Bodies and Computer Visions (allegory of the cave) by Jouni Hirvelä and Tuomo Rainio.
