Woodcut Forever

All prints in the exhibition are made by woodcut techniques. Eriko Fujita uses a Japanese water-based woodcut technique called Mokuhanga and Teija Lehto's and Jaana Paulus' technique is a reduction woodcut printed with oil-based inks.

In addition to the printing technique we use, we are united by the use of strong colours, nature motifs and accurate descriptions of details. In our prints, the traditional woodcut technique opens up to the viewer as picturesque and colourful surfaces. In terms of content, the works are personal experiences, an everyday snapshot of a landscape, room or encounter
