The Maritime Museum of Finland is a national maritime museum, located in the Maritime Centre Vellamo in Kotka.
The Maritime Museum of Finland is a national maritime museum that maintains and develops collections related to professional seafaring and recreational activities related to the sea as well as the unique underwater cultural heritage of the Baltic Sea. At the museum, visitors may explore exhibitions, boats and museum ships.
The main exhibition at the Maritime Museum of Finland closed in March 2025. After that, the space started to undergo a major renovation, with new exhibitions opening in the coming years.
The icebreaker Tarmo and the lightship Kemi are open during the summer season.
