Porvoo Museum is organizing a National Costume Picnic in the backyard of Holm House (Välikatu 11, Porvoo) on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at 16:00–18:00.
You’re welcome to dress in a national costume or a folk dress, or wear just one piece of a national costume together with your everyday clothes. You can even come in a floral dress! The event unfolds in a relaxed atmosphere of picnicking and conversation. You can bring your own picnic blanket and settle down in the courtyard of Holm House. Bring your own snacks from home or take advantage of the offerings at nearby cafés.
Folk music will be performed during the event, and the doors of the Wikman House will be open.
Anyone wearing a national costume, folk dress or an outfit inspired by national costume traditions will receive free admission to Porvoo Museum’s Holm House and the Old Town Hall all day.
