Naturally Creative

The permanent exhibition of the Saarijärvi museum features visual art from about 100 years by artists from Saarijärvi and art made in the area by other artists. The works in the exhibition are from the art collections managed by the Saarijärvi Museum: the City of Saarijärvi, the Beda, Katri and Aune Herala Foundation and the Saarijärvi Mannila Art Foundation.

The exhibition is permanently on display in the museum's Autere hall, which was inaugurated by the representatives of the Autere family on February 7, 2020. The hall is named after Hannes Autere, the father of Saarijärvi visual arts, after a proposal by the artist's grandson Jukka Autere. Jukka Autere has significantly supported the museum through the Saarijärvi culture support funding of the Friends of the Saarijärvi Museum, founded in 2018. With its financial support, the association has made the museum's high-quality events and exhibitions possible - including the permanent exhibition of Saarijärvi visual art.

'Naturally Creative' will be open from 13 December 2023 in accordance with the exhibition times of the museum's changing exhibitions.
