Welcome to Spend Your Autumn Holiday at Malva!

During the autumn holiday Malva offers a variety of programs for children, youth, and the whole family. In addition to exploring our exhibitions, visitors can take part in different art workshops throughout the week. Admission to Malva’s exhibitions is always free for everyone under 18, and all autumn break activities are also free of charge. Adults can participate in the workshops with a regular museum ticket.

Sat 18 Oct, 12–15 Open Art Workshop

An open art workshop where all museum visitors are welcome to create art. This session explores the themes of the Strange Attraction exhibition and reflects on our relationship with technology.

Sat 18 Oct, 13–14 Guided Tour

Join a guided tour to explore Malva and its amazing exhibitions. The tour starts at the museum shop and lasts about an hour. The guided tour is only available in Finnish.

Tue 21 Oct, 12–15 Art Workshop for Schoolchildren

This workshop is designed for children and youth aged 7–12. Inspired by the Strange Attraction exhibition, participants will reflect on the significance and forms of technology. The workshop includes designing and building new innovations from electronic waste.

Wed 22 Oct, 12–14 Child & Adult Art Workshop

In this workshop, a child and an adult work together. The session is connected to the Strange Attraction exhibition and includes a guided visit to the exhibition. Participants will reflect on the presence of technology in our daily lives and create their own artwork using electronic waste.

The workshop is limited to 20 participants. Please reserve a spot in advance for each participant via the museum’s online store.

Thu 23 Oct, 14–17 Art Workshop for Youth

This workshop is for youth aged 13–17. Inspired by the Strange Attraction exhibition, participants will explore the meaning and forms of technology and envision the future. The workshop includes designing new technological inventions using Copic markers and electronic waste.

Sat 25 Oct, 13–14 Guided Tour

Join a guided tour to explore Malva and its amazing exhibitions. The tour starts at the museum shop and lasts about an hour. The guided tour is only available in Finnish.
