How were the thinking and lifeattitude affected by the Finlandisation?
When Porkkala was turned into a heavily armoured Soviet base just a cannon shot´s distance from Helsinki, the Finnish politicians embarked on a trail, later known in the Newspeak form as Finlandisation.
How were the thoughts, language and general attitudes of the Finns affected? And for how long did it go on?
This question will be set in the exhibitions of Summer 2024 and farther discussed on The Open Villages day on 8.6. in a seminar moderated by PhD Henrik Ekberg and Johannes Bach Rasmussen from the Baltic Cold War Heritage Memorial.
A presentation of the Lithuanian freedom fighter Albinas Kentra is included.
