Hands-on with printed fabrics | Materials and mistakes

You’ll find out how experiments can yield surprising results, and how even a familiar pattern can actually be the result of a “sweet mistake”. Feel free to examine and handle the materials while the artists answer questions from the audience. The event will be moderated by Riikka Alanko, chief guide at EMMA.

The exhibition features printed fabrics by 31 artists. Since the 1930s, numerous outstanding artists have worked in the field of print fabric design. The Draped exhibition approaches their creations from the perspective of fine art.
