The international Graphica Creativa printmaking triennial celebrates its 50th anniversary this autumn. Held every three years, the triennial is the oldest in the Nordic countries and the only regularly organized international printmaking exhibition in Finland. The exhibition has been curated by Jyväskylä Art Museum’s curator-in-chief, Teija Lammi.

The theme of the 17th triennial is Dreaming is Seeing. It takes the viewer into the realms of imagination and dreaming. Imagination is humanity’s superpower: it allows us to see the world differently, open pathways to alternative futures, and look at familiar things with fresh eyes. What new possibilities might we discover when we dare to dream?
