Monikulttuurikalenteri2026: Kazakh Touch - Ornament Crafting with National Flair

Join us for a cozy and creative art workshop where you will explore the beauty of traditional Kazakh decorations and symbols. You will have an opportunity to decorate either a festive Christmas tree ornament or a traditional-style Kazakh hat using different fabrics, beads and Kazakh-inspired patterns.

The art workshop is free and will be held on November 8 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at the Oulu Art Museum. Registration takes place at the art museum on the day of the workshop, and the participants will be accepted in the order of registration. No prior experience is needed. All materials will be provided and guidance will be given step by step. We kindly ask to supervise children under 10.

The art workshop is held by Gaukhar Nukizhanova, a Kazakh artist who is passionate about sharing Kazakh culture through traditional decorative art.
