“Traditional techniques and tools are closest to my heart because of their long history and the storytelling intertwined with mythology. Over the years, the Kalevala and Finnish mythology have become increasingly significant parts of my work.
I bring forth the forging culture and technically high-quality art crafted by artisans, and I do my part to preserve the disappearing skills of traditional craftsmen.” and I do my part to preserve the disappearing skills of traditional craftsmen.”
“In ancient times, knowledge was passed on through teaching, rune singers, and stories. I hope that through my works I can offer something similar: to awaken, through art, an appreciation of the warmth and strength in our roots. To bring the stories to life. To touch the dormant respect for our heritage.”
