During the festive season, visitors can step into the Christmas celebrations of President Urho Kekkonen’s family in the 1970s and enjoy a nostalgic holiday atmosphere at Tamminiemi.
At Tamminiemi, visitors can immerse themselves in the Christmas traditions of President Kekkonen’s family. Upstairs in the former presidential residence, Christmas Eve is presented as the president’s grandchildren remember it: a decorated Christmas tree, presents, and a festive table set according to the traditions of the 1970s.
The Christmas exhibition at Tamminiemi is on view on weekends from 5 December 2026 to 3 January 2027. In December, Tamminiemi and Café Adjutant are open on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 am to 5 pm.
