Have you already visited the new Helsinki University Museum Flame? At our exhibition centre, research is for everyone! Located in the corner of the historic University of Helsinki Main Building, the centre challenges visitors to see the world and their day-to-day lives in new ways.
Our permanent exhibition Passion for Knowledge tells about the people, disciplines and places where science is done at the University of Helsinki. For the duration of autumn 2026, the legendary Art Room will relocate to the Helsinki University Museum Flame’s exhibition centre in the University’s Main Building. The Art Room's stay in the Main Building offers a rare opportunity to explore the tradition of academic drawing instruction that stretches back to the University’s predecessor, the Royal Academy of Turku, in the 18th century.
