The Åland Art Museum presents Åland art from a broad perspective, from paintings and sculptures to installations. In addition, the museum shows special exhibitions that continuously offer visitors new art impressions and influences.
The art museum actively follows the development of contemporary art and works to act as a forum for artists and the art public.
We share space with the Åland Cultural History Museum in the middle of Mariehamn, right next to the town square, and the entrance ticket is valid for both museums.

Free admission the first Thursday of every month, on International Museum Day 18.5, and on th Åland Islands Autonomy Day 9.6. Free admission for all 7-17 year old!
Guided tours
Presentations in the summer of 2025:
On Wednesdays between June 25th and July 16th, presentations of the Barbro Eriksson exhibition ’small, small stitches’ will be offered at 1 pm. and 3 pm. The language is chosen between Swedish and English depending on those who partake. The presentation is included in the entry fee.
On Wednesdays between July 23rd and August 27th presentations are given in both exhibitions of the Åland Art Museum. They will be offered at 1 pm. and 3 pm. The language is chosen between Swedish and English depending on those who partake. The presentation is included in the entry fee.
