Ahlström Voyage

Experience the fascinating history of the Ahlström ironworks at the Ahlström Voyage exhibition, the Makkarakoski Sawmill Museum, and within the unique ironworks surroundings.

The Ahlström Voyage exhibition, located in the old smithy, showcases the history and present day of the Ahlström companies, family, and the Noormarkku Works area, spanning over 170 years. The company has played a significant role in Finland’s industrial, architectural, art, and design history. You can also explore art glass from Ahlström Corporations’s glassworks in Iittala, Karhula, and Riihimäki. The exhibition features an impressive scale model of the ironworks and, as a new addition, a scale model of Villa Mairea.

The public guided tours are in Finnish but you can explore the Ahlström Voyage exhibition via QR-code in 28 languages: Finnish, English, Swedish, Spanish, Italian, French, Portuguese, German, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Indonesian, Norwegian, Danish, Polish, Dutch, Bulgarian, Czech, Greek, Hungarian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Romanian, Russian, Slovak, Slovenian, Turkish and Ukrainian.
