In the old days the "jacks" were not welcome in the hostess' chambers
Behind the kitchen in Ahmakuusikko cabin is a small hostess' room. The cabin hostesses, or as it was said in Lapland the camp cooks, had to do a difficult but valuable job ensuring the jacks' nutrition, cleanliness, and other such maintenance while at the logging camps.
