Baltic Sea Day at Chappe

Welcome to Chappe for Baltic Sea Day – August 28, 2025!

The Baltic Sea is one of the most polluted marine areas in the world. Beneath its surface drift tons of waste, threatening its wildlife and future.

But what if something beautiful could emerge from all that trash?

Join our art workshop led by artist Johanna Sandin, where we’ll spark conversations about the state of the Baltic Sea by creating art from found and recycled debris.

No previous art experience is needed, and there’s no advance registration, just drop in. Participation is free of charge.

You can also explore the sea and sea-inspired art in Chappe’s exhibition Happy Island – The Önningeby Artist Colony (May 9 – September 7, 2025) and in Perttu Saksa: Jussarö –Invisible Forest, set on a remote island in the Baltic Sea.

The workshop will be held in Swedish and Finnish.
