On Espoo Day at KAMU WeeGee, you can get into the Espoo spirit by listening to music and doing crafts. Come and listen to music about Espoo and make your own pin-back button to declare your love for Espoo!

11 am–5 pm “I <3 Espoo” Pin-Back Button Workshop

Design and make your own Espoo themed pin-back button and reveal your feelings for Espoo! The non-stop workshop is open throughout Espoo Day.

13–13.30, 14–14.30 and 15–15.30 Tomi Pulkkinen Trio performs

Did you know that Runeberg wrote about Espoo? Come and experience the atmospheric poem “Matkamiehen näky” ("The Vision of a Traveller"), a touching new composition by songwriter Tomi Pulkkinen, set to romantic folk-soul! In celebration of Espoo Day, you will also hear songs about Bemböle's cunning fools and the great philanthropist Aurora Karamzin.

Tomi Pulkkinen (vocals, composition and lyrics, harmonica, guitar, arrangement) once worked in an unusual profession as Finland's first monthly paid library troubadour for the City of Espoo, but nowadays he is a freelance songwriter, performing artist and writer. The accompaniment is provided by long-standing violinist Arto Nybom (violin, arrangement) and versatile drummer and percussionist Joel Jaakkola (drums, percussion, arrangement).
