Night of the Arts in Kuopio Museum

The Night of the Arts in Kuopio City Museums – Free Admission from 12 PM to 9 PM!

Experience the magic of culture during extended opening hours at the Kuopio Museum, KUMMA, Old Kuopio Museum, and the J.V. Snellman Home Museum. The program features music, art, science, and experiences for all ages!

The J.V. Snellman Home Museum will also be exceptionally open. Normally accessible only on J.V. Snellman Day, it will welcome visitors during the Night of the Arts with free admission from 12 PM to 9 PM, just like the other museums.

KUOPIO MUSEUM (Museokatu 1)

🎭 In honor of the Night of the Arts, Minna Canth arrives at Kuopio Museum with the monologue Minnan minuutit (“Minna’s Minutes”), written by Antti Heikkinen. In this short performance, Minna shares life advice and wisdom through her famous quotes. Performed by Tiina Naumanen. At 16.00-16.15.

🔬 Science Workshop from 3 PM to 8 PM:
What does a leaf or a shirt look like under a microscope? Come explore with a USB microscope! Who will be the soapbox car champion with a futuristic vehicle? Build your own speedy ride from LEGO and test it on the track! The workshop is free and suitable for the whole family. Organized by SnellmanEDU & LUMA Centre.
