Pyyntö live action role-play

Pyyntö is a live role-playing game, or LARP, ​​during which we invite participants to take on the roles of magical creatures and create a story together with the support of the event leader. Pyyntö will be played in the exhibition "In the Mirror the Shadows of Time Disappear" in the Vantaa Art Museum Artsi.

What is it like for magical creatures to live in an urban environment where a performance-oriented society has pushed the creatures into a tight spot? As the pace of a performance-oriented society accelerates, the powers of local magical creatures, which originate from people's creativity, community and meaning, have faded. Now the local trolls, goblins and fairies of Myyrmäki are gathering where this power can still be found: on the edge of art.

The game will be played in Artsi twice:
• Friday, December 5th, 5-8pm (in Finnish)
• Friday, December 12th, 5-8pm (in English)

Participation is free. The event is beginner-friendly and does not require any experience or preparation from participants. The event is aimed at participants aged 16 and up and its duration is three hours, including preparation for the larp, ​​the larp and a short discussion.

Pyyntö is a work designed by Maiju Tarpila and Usva Inei, which will be realized as part of the exhibition “In the Mirror the Shadows of Time Disappear” in the Vantaa Art Museum Artsi.
