Meet the Curator and the Artist: Aalto Design

Meet the curator of the Aalto Design – Shapes of Wellbeing exhibition, Exhibitions Curator Jutta Tynkkynen, and the artist Ilona Sagar.

Carson Chan, Chief Curator and Director of Curatorial Affairs at the Architecture and Design Museum, will open the event with a brief introduction. After this, the exhibition curator will talk about the exhibition and introduce its background. Following that, the artist, interviewed by the curator, will discuss their work and its background.

The audience will have an opportunity to ask questions. After presenting their work, the curator and the artist will be present in the exhibition space.

Ilona Sagar
Ilona Sagar is a London-based artist whose cross‑disciplinary practice, spanning moving image, text, performance and assemblage, uses historical archives and collaborative research to explore how language, technology, surfaces and the body intersect within the social and political spaces we inhabit. Ilona Sagar’s work Other Actors (2025) is featured in the Aalto Design – Shapes of Wellbeing exhibition.
