Boredom doesn't stand a chance here! The Ski Museum tells the story of the Finnish winter in the heart of Salpausselkä, where winter sports history has been made for over a hundred years.
Step into the heart of the Finnish winter! The exhibitions at the Ski Museum take visitors on a journey from Stone Age skis to today's winter sports and the future of snow. Across three floors, you can explore the exciting history of cross-country skiing, ski jumping, biathlon and alpine sports, while reflecting on your own relationship with snow and winter.
At the Ski Museum, sporting heroes, all kinds of skiers and the many forms of snow come together. The exhibitions are filled with competition fever, successes, setbacks, nostalgia, surprises and new insights. In the interactive activity area, you can test your skills in the ski jumping simulator, try biathlon and get your heart rate up with winter sports experiences.
The museum is located in the Lahti Sports Centre, at the foot of the legendary ski jumps in the heart of Salpausselkä. Here, the history of Finnish winter sports can be seen and felt everywhere.
It's always winter here.
