Ahlström Voyage utställning, guidad tour

The Ahlström Voyage exhibition can be explored on public guided tours or independently during the opening hours of Café Voyage.

The permanent exhibition, located in the Old Forge, presents in an immersive way the 175-year history and present day of the Ahlström companies, the Ahlström family, and the Ahlström Estate in Noormarkku, Pori. The company’s story forms an integral part of the history of Finnish industry, architecture, art, and design.

On a guided tour, visitors can explore, among other highlights, the art glass collections of the Iittala, Karhula, and Riihimäki glassworks, which were part of the Ahlström companies. On display are works by designers such as Tapio Wirkkala, Timo Sarpaneva, Nanny Still, and Göran Hongell, as well as several unique Savoy, or Aalto, vases designed by Alvar Aalto. The exhibition also features an impressive scale model of the ironworks area and a model of Villa Mairea.

The exhibition spaces also include a versatile museum shop. Café Voyage, with its terrace, is open during the summer season and on selected weekends.

The exhibition space is fully accessible and equipped with an elevator. A guided tour lasts approximately 75 minutes.
