Spend your holiday at the Botanical Garden – we are open every day during Easter from 11:00 to 17:00!

During Easter, visitors can enjoy the blooming displays in the greenhouses and the spring sunshine in the outdoor garden. Young visitors can take part in a self-guided activity in the greenhouses. And once again, the delightful rabbits will be visiting us.
Programme
In the Greenhouses

Rabbits visiting – the beloved rabbits return to the Botanical Garden and can be found in the Mediterranean climate room. Please do not feed the rabbits, thank you!

Children’s self-guided adventure – pick up an Easter task sheet from the lobby, complete it in the greenhouses, and return it to the info desk to receive a small surprise.

Other fun things to see and do

During Easter, the garden is filled with floral splendour. Beautiful flower arrangements, daffodils, and other Easter decorations can be found at the entrance and in the greenhouses.

The outdoor garden offers walking routes for the whole family. Pick up a map from the mailboxes by the gate.

Our outdoor garden is awakening to spring. The nature trail around the Botanical Garden also offers plenty to discover. You can pick up a spring nature bingo sheet from the lobby.

Guided Tours During Easter
Sacred Plants Tour | Wednesday 1 April at 17:00

What plants grow in paradise, and where does precious myrrh come from? Which plants did the ancient Egyptians need for embalming, and under which tree did the Buddha reach enlightenment? And why are daffodils, palms, and pussy willows associated with Easter?

Throughout human history, certain plants have been valued for their unusual appearance, habitat, or beneficial properties, earning them a special place in spiritual traditions.
The tour is guided by Tuija Hovi, docent in the study of religions and plant enthusiast.

The greenhouses and café are open 11:00–17:00, and on Wednesdays until 19:00.
The outdoor garden is open 8:00–20:00.
