Borgå Museum takes part in the nationwide Open Gardens event on Sunday 5 July 2026 from 12 noon to 5 pm.
The historic courtyard of Holm House, located in the heart of Old Porvoo, is one of the few publicly accessible inner courtyards in the old town. The site combines historic buildings, traditional garden plants and contemporary uses.
During the event, visitors can explore the history of the courtyard, its plantings and buildings, while also reflecting on the future of cultural environments in the face of climate change and biodiversity loss. Visitors will also have the opportunity to explore the nearby Wikman House, an 18th-century bakehouse that has served, among other things, as the home of the museum caretaker's family.
Free admission.
