Was it a dream? In the silence of Ainola, Aino reminisces her life alongside Jean. How did her love endure all its phases and hardships? Was her wondrous life a dream? This dramatic concert presents Jean Sibelius’ finest songs and piano works. The performance, combining music and speech, is performed by the National Opera soprano Emma Mustaniemi and pianist Tatu Eskelinen.
Before the concert historian and non-fiction author Jenni Kirves talks about the topic on the title “Aino Sibelius – a wondrous being” (ca. 30 min). The performance and drama are in Finnish.
